Yin yoga is a very still, soft and passive style of yoga where we hold poses for between 3-5 minutes. Within this stillness, the goal is to let go of any muscular tension so we can direct the (good!) stress of the pose toward the more yin layers of the body: the connective tissue, joints and bones.

The stillness within the practice offers a meditative quality & within this, time to turn the attention toward our inner world.

I’ll be offering some seasonal prompts to ponder within the stillness, inviting you to make connection between the cyclical nature of the natural world around you & within yourself 🌸 

All you need for this practice is some space, lots of cushions and blankets and perhaps a book or block or two. 

This class is themed around the season of Spring and it’s energetic qualities. That being said, you can practice this class any time of year, particularly in times you’d like to connect inward before you offer your energy outward.
